The $250 million Memorial Stadium Improvements Project, approved by the Board of Curators, aims to enhance the fan experience by enclosing the north end and introducing various premium seating options, totaling up to 160,500 square feet of new construction. Scheduled for completion by the 2026 college football season, the project coincides with Mizzou’s 100th anniversary at Memorial Stadium. Planned upgrades include 14 field-level open-air suites, two new club sections, and 51 total suites, offering diverse premium seating choices, including the unique 300-person Rock M Club beneath the historic Rock M Hill.

Interim Director of Athletics Marcy Girton says the seating capacity will be approximately 65,000 with the premium seating created with this project used to generate revenue more than increasing capacity.

“We’re fully prepared on our fundraising side to raise a substantial amount, at least half of this and then there will be some revenue generation coming from our leadership gifts and also from the revenue from the seating, ” said Girton on the price tag for this project. “From a financial standpoint, we feel real good about this.”

There will also be upgrades to the stadium with a new video board, WiFi, concessions, and restrooms in the north concourse.
