I’m Aaron Brown, and I’m thrilled to announce my candidacy for Henry County Sheriff. The role of Sheriff is unique in its direct accountability to the people—a fundamental principle that underscores the very essence of democracy and justice in our community.
My journey toward this moment began at 15, when I joined the Henry County Sheriff’s Office as an Explorer. That initial step wasn’t just about exploring a potential career path; it was the beginning of a lifelong ambition to serve the community that raised me.
Growing up in Montrose, I quickly learned the values that I hold dear today: teamwork, hard work, respect, and dedication. These principles, ingrained in me through sports and small-town life, taught me that victory is a collective effort. Now, I envision bringing that same team mindset to community policing, where deputies and citizens collaborate closely to ensure our community’s safety and harmony.
Throughout my law enforcement career, I’ve focused on more than just traditional duties; I’ve worked towards community enrichment, advocating for proactive policing and supporting those seeking to turn their lives around. With a background in criminal justice and business management, and experience as a graduate of the FBI National Academy, I bring a unique blend of local understanding and global best practices to the table.
After rising through the ranks to become an Under Sheriff in Johnson County, I am now ready to bring my experience, my values, and my vision back to Henry County. I know what it takes to lead with both compassion and strength. My approach to law enforcement extends beyond traditional roles, focusing also on community programs that uplift and unite us. I am not just offering myself as a candidate for Sheriff; I am committing to a future where our community thrives through excellence in public service.
As your next Sheriff, I pledge my firm commitment to serving our community with fairness, equality, and strict adherence to the Constitution. Our shared pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness is a commitment to action, a commitment to living our values through every decision made and every action taken in office.
With over 14 years of dedicated and consistent law enforcement experience at every level of the Sheriff’s Office, I bring a background of hands-on leadership and a heart for public service. I stand before you with a firm belief that the role of Sheriff must rise above political divisions and personal ambitions. My campaign is rooted not in politics, but in our collective wellbeing, in our shared dreams for a safe and just community.
I am committed to building upon the legacy of integrity, fairness, and respect for the Constitution that has long defined the Office of Sheriff. My promise to you is to be a sheriff for all, to protect our community with determination, to serve with compassion, and to lead with a commitment to justice and equality.
