Clinton, MO (November 15, 2024) —The Education Foundation for Clinton Students, Inc. and the Clinton School District are thrilled to announce a “double play” opportunity to make your support for the Home Run for the Future capital campaign go twice as far. From now through December 6, all donations made to the Home Run for the Future campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to the generous support of the Truman Lake Community Foundation (TLCF) and the Patterson Family Foundation. Together, they will match every dollar donated, up to a combined total of $25,000.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support of TLCF and the Patterson Family Foundation. Their generosity provides an extraordinary chance for our community to maximize their impact,” says Angie Lawson, Clinton School District Director of Communications.
To have tax-deductible donations matched, donors must make their checks payable to Community Foundation of the Ozarks with “Patterson Match for Clinton School District Capital Campaign” in the memo. Checks can be mailed or delivered to the Clinton School District Central Office (701 S 8th Street, Clinton, MO 64735). Online donations also qualify. The online portal can be accessed at www.clintoncardinals.org (click on the “Home Run for the Future” button underneath the banner image on the home page). All questions regarding donations should be directed to 660-890-3050 or foundation@clintoncardinals.org.
All donations, whether made online or by check, are also tax-deductible. For gifts of $25,000+, donors have the option to pledge their gift over five years. Donations over $1,000 will be recognized on a donor wall at the complex, and naming opportunities for more significant gifts are also available. The complex is set to be completed and ready for the Spring 2026 season.
The Home Run for the Future campaign began with the remarkable lead donation of $750,000 from the late George R. Lilleston, a 1958 Clinton High School graduate and longstanding Clinton attorney. This significant contribution, designated specifically for the construction of a softball and baseball complex, covers nearly half of the project’s estimated cost. The remaining funds are needed through donations and pledges by January 15, 2025.
