Our Henry County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Cass County Sheriffs Office and local city law enforcement, had the privilege of joining Bates County Sheriff’s Office in their extraordinary mission to assist law enforcement officers in Buncombe County, NC, who were severely impacted by the recent hurricanes. These officers, many of whom lost their homes and belongings, are facing tough times, and we are honored to have contributed to this effort.
Our staff generously collected over $600 in donations to provide much-needed supplies. I couldn’t be more proud of everyone who gave, especially knowing that making ends meet can be a challenge for many of us. This small act of kindness has grown into something far greater, showing how compassion can truly move mountains.
As Sheriff Anderson shared: “Our community is small, but we have big hearts. In just three days, we saw incredible generosity come together for those in need. This was God’s work.”
I echo those words and add that, “In times of hardship, the smallest acts of kindness often make the biggest impact. When we come together in generosity and support, we create a ripple of hope that reaches far beyond our own community.”
Thank you to our incredible team, Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson for leading this effort, and to Cass County Sheriff’s Office and area law enforcement for their support. It’s amazing to witness how much good can come from working together.
