On Sunday, August 20, 2023 a crash occurred as the vehicle, driven by Nathaniel R Aswegan, age 19 of Kingsville, MO traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a driveway entrance. The vehicle crossed over and struck a culvert leg and came to rest in the ditch. The crash was assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. The occupant of the vehicle sought their own treatment with minor injuries.
On Wednesday, August 23, 2023 a crash occurred at Highway 13 and Calvird road as vehicle 1, driven by Travon N Thurman, age 20 of Raymore, MO was making a left turn and turned into the path of southbound vehicle 2, driven by Dalton D Allison, age 24 of Lowry City, MO. The passenger of vehicle 2, Lileeann G Willis, age 18 of Lowry City, MO was pronounced dead at 1615 by Dr. James Alford at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. The next of kin was notified. The driver of vehicle 1 was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by Citizen Memorial Ambulance, then life flighted to St. Luke’s Plaza in Kansas City, MO with moderate injuries. The driver of vehicle 2 was life flighted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO with Serious injuries.
On Monday, August 21, 2023 a crash occurred as vehicle 1, driven by Andria M Colbert, age 38 of Clinton, MO swerved to avoid another vehicle turning into the path of vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 ran off the east side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and then struck timber. The crash was assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. The occupant of the vehicle sought their own treatment with minor injuries.
