Seniors from across Missouri are invited to attend Senior Day at the Missouri State Fair on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, inside the Mathewson Exhibition Arena. Hosted by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the event promises a fun-filled morning of dancing, entertainment, exhibits, and prizes, all focused on celebrating and honoring older Missourians.
The day kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with vendor exhibits and booths open on the arena floor until 12:30 p.m. Free Bingo begins at 10:00 a.m., with prizes and refreshments available. Live music from The Countrylines will keep the energy up throughout the event.
The highlight of the day is the ever-popular senior dance contest, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and featuring three dance categories: Missouri Waltz, Cha-Cha, and East Coast Swing/Two-Step/Line Dancing. Cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 will be awarded to the top three couples in each category. New dance categories and songs have been added this year to keep the competition fresh and exciting.
Special guests will include Wendy Harlan, Deputy Director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and reigning Ms. Missouri Senior America 2024, Gloria Ann Vann, along with Ms. Missouri Senior America 2025.
Dance contestants are encouraged to pre-register at Health.Mo.Gov/seniorday or at the event prior to 12:30 p.m. near the Center Stage.
