Two Injured in Clinton Intersection Crash on Ohio Street

Two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon, July 6, at the intersection of Ohio Street and 3rd Street in Clinton.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. when a 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 26-year-old Clinton woman, struck the front of a 2023 Dodge Charger that was crossing the intersection. The Chevrolet was traveling eastbound, while the Dodge was headed northbound.

The impact caused total damage to the Impala and moderate damage to the Charger. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Gary’s Tow.

The female driver of the Impala sustained minor injuries and indicated she would seek her own medical treatment. The 52-year-old male driver of the Charger, also from Clinton, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital by Golden Valley EMS.

Authorities noted that the woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while the man was not. The incident was investigated with assistance from MSgt. W.P. Bremer.
