College Softball World Series star and Texas Longhorns ace Mac Morgan brought her championship-caliber talent to Optimist Field on Thursday, June 26, drawing a packed turnout for a youth pitching camp.
Morgan—fresh off her pivotal performances that helped the Longhorns secure their WCWS title—led an enthusiastic group of local high school and young softball throwers through intensive drills and sessions. Utilizing her trademark mix of power fastball and devastating change-up, she spent the evening working closely with campers on mechanics, pitch sequencing, and mental approach on the mound.
Morgan, a Missouri native from Creighton and former Sherwood standout, returned to the heart of the state to share her expertise.
Campers left with not only autograph-signed gear but also a deeper understanding of elite-level pitching. The event supports local youth athletics, with proceeds benefitting Clinton’s softball programs.
With the Longhorns’ WCWS win still resonating, Morgan’s camp offered a fitting bridge—connecting college champions with tomorrow’s stars on the diamond.
