2025-field-day259400

Sheep and goat producers across the region are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Sheep & Goats Field Day, set for Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the MU Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center (SWREEC), located at 14548 State Rd. H in Mount Vernon.

“The 3rd Annual Sheep & Goats Field Day provides an excellent opportunity for producers, and anyone interested in diversifying their farm with small ruminants, to learn, connect, and engage,” said David Brown, MU Extension Small Ruminant Field Specialist.

The event will feature a full day of hands-on demonstrations, educational sessions, and expert-led presentations. Highlights include a live virtual fencing demonstration, where attendees can use an app to create fencing boundaries in real-time, and an interactive “Ask the Veterinarian” Q&A session.

  • All Things Forages – Dr. Harley Naumann (MU Extension)
