
Sedalia, Mo. — May 30, 2025 — Eight members of the State Fair Community College (SFCC) baseball team have earned postseason honors for their performance during the recently concluded season. Awards were determined by votes from coaches in Region 16 and the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners finished their campaign with a 32-17 record and made an appearance in the Region 16 Tournament.
Sophomore outfielder Devin Wassmann, of Platte City, was named First Team All-Region 16 as a designated hitter. Sophomore pitcher Nate Bartlett, of Lee’s Summit, also earned First Team All-Region honors as a starting pitcher. Freshman outfielder and pitcher Collin Ross, of Branson, was selected to the Second Team as an outfielder, while freshman pitcher Jacob Tellman, of Jefferson City, joined him on the Second Team as a starting pitcher.
In addition to their All-Region accolades, several Roadrunners were recognized by the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference. Bartlett was named to the All-Conference First Team, while Wassmann was selected to the Second Team along with sophomore outfielder and first baseman Dayne Wimberly, of Platte City; Ross; sophomore pitcher Parker Lambeth, of Springfield; sophomore outfielder Caleb Briggs, of Lee’s Summit; and Tellman.
Two players also received recognition for their defensive efforts. Sophomore middle infielder Sam Paule, of Washington, was named to the Region 16 Division I Baseball All-Defensive Team as a second baseman. Ross received the same defensive honor as an outfielder.
Wassmann played in 45 games this season, finishing with a .292 batting average. He hit 11 home runs, drove in 41 runs, scored 35 times, stole six bases, and totaled 40 hits. Bartlett made 12 appearances, including 10 starts, and compiled a 5-1 record. Over 60 innings pitched, he struck out 92 batters, walked 30, and posted a 3.00 earned run average.
Ross batted .351 in 47 games during his freshman campaign. He recorded 52 hits, including eight doubles, four triples and two home runs. He also tallied 36 RBIs, 30 runs scored and nine stolen bases. Tellman appeared in 13 games, 11 of which were starts, and earned a 4-4 record. He finished the season with a 3.88 ERA over 58 innings, striking out 75 and walking 24.
Wimberly played in 43 games, recording a .313 batting average. He hit nine home runs, drove in 41 runs, scored 35, stole three bases, and contributed 46 hits. Lambeth made 17 appearances out of the bullpen and was a key component of SFCC’s relief corps. He went 6-1 with four saves, a 2.36 ERA, and 36 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings pitched.
Briggs played in 49 games and was a consistent presence in the outfield. He posted a .318 batting average with 54 hits, three home runs, 32 RBIs, 55 runs scored and 17 stolen bases.
These postseason honors highlight the contributions and achievements of a talented group of student-athletes who helped lead the Roadrunners through a successful 2024–25 campaign.
