The Clinton Police Department is proud to announce that K9 Bronco will soon be receiving a custom-fitted bullet and stab protective vest, courtesy of a generous donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
This potentially lifesaving equipment is expected to be delivered within ten weeks. The vest, made in the U.S. and certified by the National Institute of Justice, will be embroidered with the heartfelt message: “Born to Love—Trained to Serve—Loyal Always.”
Founded in 2009, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides protective vests and other support to law enforcement dogs across the nation. To date, the organization has supplied more than 6,000 vests, valued at over $6.9 million, to K9 units in all 50 states—thanks to the support of private and corporate donations.
K9 Bronco, like thousands of four-legged officers nationwide, plays a critical role in public safety and law enforcement. This donation helps ensure Bronco is better protected while performing his duties.
For those interested in supporting the cause, tax-deductible donations can be made at www.vik9s.org, by phone at (508) 824-6978, or by mail to Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., P.O. Box 9, East Taunton, MA 02718. A donation of $1,050 sponsors one vest, which carries a five-year warranty and weighs approximately 4–5 pounds.
The Clinton Police Department thanks Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. for their dedication to protecting the brave K9s who serve our communities.
