Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Marine Division recovered the body of Christopher David Salmons on Sunday, more than a week after he went missing while kayaking on Truman Lake.
Salmons, of Warsaw, Missouri, was last seen on March 14 in the Clear Creek Cove area.
According to authorities, high winds caused him to fall from his kayak into the cold water, where he drowned.
First responders and troopers conducted an extensive search of Truman Lake near Clear Creek Cove in Benton County before locating his body.
