The University of Central Missouri (UCM) community will bring the red to Kauffman Stadium while cheering on the boys in blue as UCM participates in the second annual MIAA Day at the K on Saturday, April 26.

For the second year in a row, the Kansas City Royals invite fans from the 14 universities in the MIAA to a night of baseball and school pride. The purchase of a UCM-themed ticket includes a KC Royals and UCM co-branded bucket hat for the first 1,500 fans. The Royals will also give away a Mike Moustakas bobblehead to the first 20,000 attendees.

UCM will host a tailgate in Lot J for those who purchased a UCM ticket to the game. From 4 to 5:30 p.m., visitors can hang out with President Roger Best and Mo the Mule, take advantage of fun photo opportunities and get an official UCM Cookie. Fans wearing UCM gear (preferably red) at the tailgate will receive an exclusive light-up Mule pin, while supplies last.

At 6:10 p.m., the Royals will face the Houston Astros, which are owned by UCM alumnus Jim Crane, ’76.

As a bonus, anyone who shows their MIAA Day at the K ticket will receive free entry to the Mules baseball game at 1 p.m. April 26 at Crane Stadium.
