Clinton High School is pleased to announce that Jordan Townsend has been named Assistant Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Jordan transitions into this role from Henry Elementary School, where she has served as Assistant Principal for the past three years. Townsend will step into the position currently held by Dr. Rob Anthony, who has accepted a school leadership position in the St. Louis region.
With a strong background in education and leadership, Townsend is dedicated to student success and academic growth. At Henry Elementary, she played a key role in enhancing student engagement, managing student discipline, and improving instruction through curriculum development and data analysis. Mrs. Townsend is also a Leader in Me trainer and implementer, and helped establish a Student Leadership Team at Henry Elementary. Her ability to collaborate with teachers and staff to drive meaningful progress makes her an excellent fit for Clinton High School.
Townsend’s teaching experience includes roles as a 6th Grade English Language Arts teacher at Clinton Middle School and as a Special Education teacher at Warsaw and Lebanon Middle Schools.
Mrs. Townsend holds a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Cross Categorical Special Education from Missouri State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Missouri State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University.
“A respected leader within our district, Mrs. Townsend has consistently shown her dedication to student success, strong leadership, and academic excellence,” says Mrs. Jennifer Corson, CHS principal. “Her collaborative approach and commitment to creating a positive learning environment make her an excellent fit for CHS.”
Jordan Townsend is looking forward to beginning her journey at CHS this coming school year. “I am thrilled to join the team at Clinton High School and work alongside Mrs. Corson, the dedicated CHS staff, and, most importantly, the students. It is especially exciting to reconnect with some of my former students from my time at CMS and continue building strong relationships with all students. I am eager to collaborate, learn, and contribute to the continued success of our students and school community!”
