The Clinton School District is excited to announce the hiring of Jake Vencill as the new Head Football Coach for Clinton High School.
Coach Vencill has dedicated 17 seasons to coaching high school football, with previous positions at Windsor, Crest Ridge, and Washington. He served as the Head Football Coach at Windsor High School for six seasons, leading the program to three District Championships and three State Quarterfinal appearances. In 2020, his team captured the Class 1 State Championship. His career record as a Head Coach stands at 56-17. For his outstanding leadership and coaching excellence, he was honored as the MFCA, Missouri Sportswriters, and KMZU Class 1 Coach of the Year in 2020.
Beyond his coaching career, Coach Vencill was a standout athlete himself. A 2004 graduate of Windsor High School, he was a four-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, baseball, and track. His talent on the football field earned him All-State Running Back honors during the 2003 season.
Jake is eager to begin his journey with the Clinton School District. “I am excited for the opportunity to bring my passion for teaching and coaching to the Clinton School District. I look forward to being a positive role model to students and athletes both in the classroom and on the athletic playing field. Together, we will build a football program that is the pride of the school and the community. Go Cardinals!”
Joining Jake in this new chapter are his wife, Abby, and their two sons, Maxton and Camden. As a family, they enjoy sports and traveling, and they are looking forward to becoming an active part of the Clinton community.
