The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Mark Shobe in connection with a violent assault that occurred on November 26, 2024, in the 100 block of SE PP Highway.
At approximately 1:49 PM, deputies responded to reports of an altercation at a residence in rural Clinton, Missouri. Upon arrival, officers located Shobe at the scene and took him into custody without incident. According to the probable cause statement, Shobe, allegedly intoxicated, attacked a female victim with a knife during a dispute, causing significant injuries.
The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to an area hospital for further treatment. Following the altercation, Shobe attempted to conceal the weapon, which deputies later recovered during their investigation.
Shobe was initially taken into custody on a 24-hour investigative hold at the Henry County Detention Center, pending formal charges. While in custody, Shobe attempted to escape restraint by forcing open a handcuff and subsequently attempted to remove a taser from a Corrections Officer’s holster. The Corrections Officer quickly regained control, re-securing Shobe’s restraint and ensuring no further incidents occurred.
Today, the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged Shobe with the following:
Domestic Assault 1st Degree – Serious Injury

Tampering with Physical Evidence
No bond has been issued in this case.
