picnic-1955120094

Heartland Community Theatre is pleased to announce the latest edition of our
upcoming Sunday Movie Matinee at 2:00 p.m., on August 25 th , 2024. FREE
movie matinees are held on the 4 th Sunday of each month, barring
cancellation.
This month’s feature presentation is “Picnic” (1955), starring William Holden,
Kim Novak, Betty Field, Susan Strasburg, Cliff Robertson and co-starring
Rosalind Russell. In a small community in Kansas, on the morning of the
town’s Labor Day picnic, a drifter (William Holden) arrives to visit an old friend
from college, who comes from a wealthy, established family. Emotions are
ignited among the complacent townspeople, during the drifter’s visit.
On-scene filming locations include sequences in Halstead, Hutchinson,
Nickerson, Salina and Sterling, Kansas.
Again, admission is always FREE, along with popcorn and beverages. We wish
to say “THANK YOU” and extend our appreciation to everyone who has, and
continues to support Heartland Community Theatre.
Hope to see everyone this Sunday afternoon at the Heartland Community
Theatre, 108 North Washington, Clinton.
