Appleton City Saturday Street Festivals begin June 22. The city of AC is looking for vendors of crafts, products, arts and food for the events. If you
offer it, the city wants to help you sell it. If you are doing a fundraiser, they want to help you raise your funds. Booth space is $25.00 and
registration forms are available at City Hall. They will have many downtown business open, vendors and food on Main Street and entertainment
later in the City Park. The 2024 dates are June 22, July 20, Augusts 24, September 21 and October 9. They are also looking for committee
volunteers. If you are interested in helping put together the monthly Saturday Festival or have ideas, please contact City Hall at 660-476-2631.
Saturday, June 22, Jonny Koch and the Tightwad Troubadours, with special guest, Rhonda Meyer will perform on the Park stage 5:00-8:00 p.m.
There will be a benefit chicken dinner Friday, June 21 from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at the Fair Haven Park (on HWY C, 8 miles north of Walker, MO) to
benefit Stoney Creek, Fair Haven and Walnut Creek Schools. The menu is all you can eat fried or BBQ grilled chicken, baked beans cole slaw, fried
potato wedges, homemade bread and butter with freshly cranked ice cream and homemade pies for dessert. A freewill donation will be appreciated.
LEAP (Lewis Equine Assisted Programs) will have a barn dance, dinner and silent auction fundraiser 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Lowry City Community
Center, 406 W. 4th St in Lowry City on June 22. Music will be provided by Campfire Cowboy, Randy Polson. Adult tickets are $12, Children 5-12
are $8. All proceeds will benefit Lewis Equine Assisted Programs. For tickets or more information, contact Kim at 816-506-6825.
AC Rural Health Clinic will provide free sports physicals June 26, 2024 for students entering grades 7 th -12 th in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

River of Life Fellowship in Rockville will have a Deliverance Training Seminar and meetings June 29-30 with Dr. Steve Highlander and Rev. Cody
Persell. Training sessions begin on Saturday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. followed by a light meal and then regular evening deliverance service. Regular
Sunday School and worship Sunday morning begin at 9:30 and 10:15 a.m., along with a special Sunday evening service at 6:00 p.m. All are
welcome to attend any and all of the meetings. Sunday, July 7, they will welcome Wyatt Brown to share in word and song about his testimony and all
that God is doing in his life. All events ROL has are free and they welcome all those able to attend. They hope to be able to share meetings and

Seven local churches are teaming together to provide a week-long community Vacation Bible School Event: From the Inside Out! VBS will be each
evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26. Each night will be hosted by a different church: VBS is for PK-6 th grade. Children

The 20 th Annual Appleton City Car Show will be July 13 in the City Park, right off 52 Hwy across the street from Zink Motor Company. Check in
8:00 a.m.-noon. Car Show noon-3:00 p.m. This is a judged event. There is a $10 entry fee, with proceeds going to two scholarships for local high
school students. Top 85 cars and trucks combined, top 3 motorcycles, and top 3 rat rods.
Zink Motor Co is hosting the KC Antique Car Club at their dealership. Model A’s and T’s will be on display. This event is free.
The AC Fire Department will have a free vintage fire truck and fire equipment show July 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the AC Fire Station.
MU Extension is partnering with The Alzheimer’s Association and Four Fillies Mercantile to provide an opportunity for residents to learn strategies
to promote brain health and decrease risk of dementia. The Living a Healthy Life for Your Brain and Body program is dedicated to offering
comprehensive insights and practical advice on maintaining and enhancing cognitive and physical health as we age. Participants will gain valuable
knowledge on how to take proactive steps toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. Strategies for Aging Well include: Cognitive Activity: Discover
activities and practices that can help keep your mind sharp and engaged, Physical Health and Exercise: Explore effective exercise routines and
physical health tips to maintain mobility and strength, Diet and Nutrition: Gain insights into nutritional choices that support overall health and
longevity and Social Engagement: Learn about the benefits of staying socially active and connected with others. Join them at the Four Fillies
Mercantile, 11210 MO-13, Lowry City, MO 64763 at 11:00 a.m. July 16 for this free educational event. Participants are welcome to purchase lunch

The University of Missouri Extension 2 nd Annual Sheep and Goats Field Day will focus on small ruminant health awareness program. The event will
be held 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday July 12, 2024 at Southwest Research Extension and Education Center, 14548 Highway H, Mt. Vernon, MO
65712. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in assessing small ruminant health, vaccination program, on-farm
biosecurity, metabolic diseases, feed & forage options and many more. There will also be hands-on training on fecal egg count, five-point check and
FAMACHA score. Special feature of the event includes lamb cooking with lamb meat tasting for all participants. Registration is required to attend.
Registration fee is $25 per participant and includes snacks, coffee, pizza, salad, lamb chops/meatball, and classroom materials. Deadline to register is
