Harry S. Truman Lake and US Army Corps of Engineers Work Together on Bridge Projects

army-bridge-132435
Last week, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives from the Harry S. Truman Project (Operations Project Manager James Sandberg, Park Manager Bradly Wright, and Natural Resource Management Specialist Dylan Roeder) met with several representatives from the Missouri Army National Guard (Lieutenant Colonel Ledgerwood, Sergeant Major Petry, Master Sergeant Wandel, Major Daniels, and Major Pope). The two agencies are looking at potential bridge demolitions.
Under recent IRT (Innovative Readiness Training) for Military Members, team members from both agencies believe this could be a great opportunity to work together. It would offer training opportunities for the Missouri Army National Guard while also providing improvements to public lake access through demolition.
While there are still steps to be taken, we look forward to this growing partnership between our agencies.
