May 14th, Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with law enforcement members
from other agencies held traffic stop demonstrations at Sherwood High School in
Creighton.
This was led and organized by Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Cameron, who is the
School Resource Deputy at Sherwood High School.
Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, a Lieutenant from the Henry County
Sheriff’s Office, an Officer from the Garden City Police Department and a Sergeant from
the Missouri State Highway Patrol provided knowledge for these students.
They want to make sure these students know the rules of the road, while maintaining
safe and responsible driving practices.
“This event helps our kids be able to learn on a traffic stop and build a relationship with
law enforcement without having the consequence of a ticket in that moment,” said
Deputy Cameron.
