All students attending prom are invited, free of charge, to showcase their finery by walking the red carpet before a backdrop of gleaming classic cars on the north side of the Clinton Square as photographers snap photos from behind velvet ropes.
Members of the public are free to attend and spectate from a shaded visitors’ gallery behind those ropes–please be respectful of the paparazzi; they were invited. Photos of the event will be uploaded to Facebook and made available for download at no charge.
The red carpet will be in place by 2:00 for individuals who wish to take their own photos, but the official Promenade with photographers will begin at 3:00. Prom-goers are asked to be in line by 2:50.
