The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) posted online that the Harry S. Truman Lake Master Plan, Revised December 2023, has been finalized and published.
The Master Plan, as described by USACE online, “is the guidance document that describes how the resources of the lake will be managed in the future and provides the vision for how the lake should look in the future.” Page 9 of the Revised Master Plan itself clarifies that “The Master Plan deals in concepts, not in details, of design or administration.” Be that as it may, the revised Master Plan is not lacking in details: a comprehensive, 176-page document representing years of coordinated effort and data collation, replaces the outdated “Design Memorandum 36A for Harry S. Truman Dam & Reservoir dated October 1988.”
The “Harry S. Truman Master Plan – December 2023″ is now available–with its 5 Appendices–on the USACE website, under “Reports.”
