Clinton Fire Department posted the following notice on their social media, reminding residents of the City of Clinton that the city is under fire restrictions and recommending rural residents to avoid outdoor burning today
VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY (02/27/2024)!!
The City of Clinton remains under fire restrictions until further notice. No burn permits will be issued during this time.
Residents in rural Clinton are strongly discouraged to conduct any outdoor burning today!
The notice follows a Red Flag Warning from the National Weather Service yesterday, Feb. 26th, as well as several calls to Henry County Emergency Services regarding grass fires.
