
A benefit for individuals who serve this nation, University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance is excited to announce that all of its 2023-2024 season productions, which begin this week, are free for active duty military members, veterans and military families. Based on the theme, “With Love,” the season kicks off with the mainstage production of “Everybody,” by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins at the James L. Highlander Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-30, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and Sunday Oct. 1.
Other mainstage productions throughout the season will include the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: The Musical,” Nov. 10-12, and Nov. 16-18; “Xanadu: The Musical,” Feb. 22-25, 2024; “Romeo and Juliet,” March 28-31, 2024; and “Duke Ellington’s Sacred Dance,” April 18-21, 2024.
Active duty military, veterans and military families may only receive tickets at the box office prior to the show, or by calling 660-543-8811. Free military tickets are not available for online purchase. Please note, this show deals with mature themes and adult language.
