Missouri Music Festivals Announce Mozark Fest With a Salute to the Seventies

Missouri Music Festivals is proud to announce the inaugural Mozark Fest being held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri September 20-22, 2024 with a Salute to the Decade of the Seventies.  This three-day festival will feature concerts to be held inside the Fairgrounds Grandstand featuring music from the seventies to current, headlined by Starship featuring Mickey Thomas.  Additionally there will be concerts by Glenn Hughes, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and former singer and bassist of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.   Also taking the stage will be The Pat Travers Band, Molly Hatchet, Revisiting Creedence, Christian Rock Sensation Petra, Head East, The Frontmen featuring lead singers Richie McDonald of Lonestar, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart and Tim Rushlow of Little Texas.

Also playing live on stage will be Seventies heart throb John Schneider who played Bo Duke on Dukes of Hazzard.  Also appearing will be Danny Coker, star of the History Channel’s Counting Cars performing with his band Counts 77.  Mozark Festival will also feature Nineties Country stars Michael Peterson and Tammy Graham.

The Seventies, well known for its music as Mozark Fest will feature some of the top Tribute Bands in the United States featuring music from Santana, Phil Collins, Hall and Oates, Eagles, Queen, Heart, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Alabama, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Chris Stapleton, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

Producer of Mozark Fest Sam McCaslin had this to say “We want to provide music for everyone with an emphasis on the decade of the seventies!”  “From Rock to Country, the Decade of the Seventies featured some of the best music ever!”  “We at Mozark wanted to showcase many of the hits the decade had to offer.”

With the purchase of a ticket, festival goers will be able to see the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, a car show, a Volkswagen car show, an arts and crafts show.  There’s something for the kids in the Kid’s Zone.  There will be fair food, food trucks, vendors from all over the United States and more.

For those interested in camping, the Missouri State Fairgrounds features the largest campground site in all of the state.  There are over sixteen hundred hookups that can accommodate camping trailers of all sizes.

The city of Sedalia offers lodging accommodations of all kinds from Hotels to Bed and Breakfasts.  Festival Co-Organizer Doug Kiburz  had this to say, “Sedalia is the perfect place in all of Missouri to hold a festival of this magnitude!”  “It’s in between Kansas City and St. Louis and in the middle of Missouri.”  “Sedalia has so much to offer with wonderful hotels, restaurants and great shopping!”  “We are fortunate to be having this event at the State Fairgrounds as every resident of Missouri knows where it is!”

The inaugural Mozark Fest will be the Midwest’s largest celebration of The Decade of the Seventies.
