On Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at approximately 2:18 p.m., members of the Clinton Missouri Police Department were called to investigate a traffic crash on Missouri 7 Highway, just east of Missouri 13 Highway in Clinton Missouri, Henry County. Upon arrival, officers determined a vehicle travelling south bound on Missouri 7 Highway had struck a pedestrian, Heather Willcockson, 38, of Clinton Missouri. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. Willcockson was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is currently ongoing.
