
The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a filing made by Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West to adjust the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
Evergy Missouri West made two filings with the Missouri Public Service Commission. In its first filing (ER-2023-0444), Evergy Missouri West proposed to adjust the FAC to reflect changes in its fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of December 2022 through May 2023. The second filing was Evergy Missouri West’s FAC true-up (EO-2023-0445).
For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the interim FAC will drop by approximately $0.29 a month. This change is scheduled to take effect on September 1, 2023.
Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 303,536 customers in the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth.
