The Clinton Police Department has received approval from the City Council to purchase a “Thermo Scientific 1064Defender Raman Analyzer”.
This analyzer allows touchless identification of narcotics and/or hazardous materials. This will help keep the officers safe from potential exposure to harmful items they encounter daily. The analyzer will also enable officers to submit criminal charges in a matter of days instead of weeks or months. This makes Clinton a safer place for all of us to live.
