On August 1st, 2023 at approximately 4:58 The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with an accident investigation involving a train and semi truck in the area of E. 187th east of Holmes Road near Belton.
There are no reported hazards to the surrounding area, however people are urged to avoid the area. The train did not derail and remained on the tracks.
