WELCOME TO THE CARDINAL TEAM
Help us welcome Cory Harp to the Clinton Middle School team, where he will be teaching STEM classes this fall.
Cory is originally from Higginsville, MO, but has lived in Clinton since 2011 with his wife, Stephanie (business teacher at Clinton High School). They have three children, Andrew, Max, and Emma. In his free time Cory enjoys radio-controlled models and working on his old car.
Cory was a member of the United States Navy from 2006-2011 and was stationed in Virginia Beach, Va where he worked on F-18C/D airframes and had two deployments on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower. Following this he was employed with AVFAB here in Clinton where he worked on aircraft interior components/composites. For the last 2 years he has taught General Metals, Mechanical Drafting, and Architectural Drafting in the Independence School District.
Cory is currently enrolled at the University of Central Missouri and will graduate this summer. He also holds FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
“I am excited to work for the Clinton School District because it has great opportunities for my family and I. I feel that I am able to give back to the community that has come to be my home. Middle school is allowing me to teach the classes I enjoy and share the knowledge I have learned over the years with students. I am very excited to teach a drones class as it is a new career field that is expanding from manufacturing to marketing. This is a great opportunity for students to excel in the future.”
