Attention Bakers and Candy Makers: Plan to Enter the Fair

It is too late to begin and finish a counted cross-stitch project or begin growing tomatoes and get them canned for the Henry County Fair.  However, there is still time to make candy, bake cookies, bread or brownies for the food preparation division of the Home Economics Division in the 75th annual Henry County Fair.  Children and adults may enter all divisions.

There are four divisions for food preparation; candy, cookies, yeast breads and quick breads.  And, if you preserve food, classes include fruit, vegetables, pickles, relishes, jellies, jams, meats, and dried food.

For specifics on what constitutes an entry, check out the Henry County Fair Book on Facebook at Henry County MO Fair or get a fairbook at the Extension Center, 120 East Lincoln, Clinton.

Enter items Monday, July 10 from 10am-1pm at the Benson Center at the Henry County Fairgrounds in Clinton. Exhibits will be released July 13 between 4pm and 6pm.  The Henry County Fair runs from July 8-16 this year.
