Over the late night of June 4 and into the early morning hours June 5, 11 businesses and 9 private residences and private vehicles were damaged by spray paint. The “tagging” included foul and abusive words and phrases sprayed on the sides of businesses, houses and automobiles.
Clinton Police Officers worked through the day on follow up investigations and identifying additional victims and crime locations. They were able to finally identify two juvenile suspects, thanks to the cooperation of some concerned citizens with vital information and some video footage of the masked and hooded suspects.
Those juveniles were detained late in the afternoon yesterday and were referred to the Henry County Juvenile Office. Investigation continues in the matter, but it is not believed that there are any other unidentified suspects at this time.
