clinton-fire-department721623
With much needed rainfall received the last few days and improved weather conditions, the Clinton Fire Department has lifted the burn restrictions that were implemented a few weeks ago for the City of Clinton.
The City of Clinton continues to provide the opportunity for citizens to participate in outdoor burning, as long as individual citizens abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the city government. The information provided below defines what is allowed and not allowed concerning outdoor burning.
Following these two steps will ensure you are compliant:
STEP 1:
 Ensure that all debris in your burn pile follows the guidelines as stated below in the “Permitted Items/Items Not Permitted” section of this document.
 Ensure that your burn site is a minimum of 50’ for any structure.
 Ensure that you have a working garden hose able to reach the burn site.
STEP 2:
 Schedule your burn on a date that you can tend to the burn pile. You must be present with the burn pile until it has burned out completely!
 Call fire headquarters at (660) 885-2560 to request a burn permit. A member of the fire department will come to your home to inspect your burn pile.
 Pay $10.00 Burn Permit fee to fire department representative to acquire permit and begin burn.
Once you have obtained your burn permit, you are allowed to burn ONLY on the specific date to which the permit was issued. Your burn pile MUST BE COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED BY DARK.
