While Clinton and Henry Co. did receive rainfall yesterday evening, total precipitation added up to less than a tenth of an inch. With elevated temperatures and winds forecast for the coming days, surface fuels that did receive moisture will dry out rapidly.
At this time, Clinton Fire Department will continue to enforce fire restrictions within the City of Clinton until significant measurable rainfall is received. We would also like to encourage rural Henry Co. residents to refrain from any open burning during these dry conditions.
