On 4-20-2023 at 1:10PM, the Belton Police received a report of a bank robbery at 204 Main Street. A male party reportedly brandished a knife and demanded money from a teller. After receiving the money, the suspect left the scene on foot.
A Belton police officer was able to locate the suspect just blocks away and take him into custody without incident. The suspect’s identity is not being released pending charges.
The FBI will be handling the investigation with the assistance of the Belton Missouri Police Department.
