Transfer Station Free, for Selected Items, for City Residents 

The 2023 Spring Transfer Station City Wide Clean Up will be April 24 April 29. During Transfer Station City Wide Clean Up, the City of Clinton will offer expanded hours and services to encourage residents within the city limits of Clinton to clean-up their properties. 

To receive free disposal service at the Transfer Station, for selected items, proof of City residency will be required. Proof of residency can be established by showing a driver’s license, utility bill or property tax receipt. The City reserves the right to limit the amount of items for free disposal from a single source. Non-City residents may use the Transfer Station, but regular fees will apply. 

Curbside Pick-Up for Disabled Citizens and Senior Citizens (65+ yrs.) 

Rules for curbside pick-up: 

  1. Call City Hall, 885-6121, the week of April 17 – April 21 to schedule a pick-up at your 

residence. Pick-up cannot be guaranteed if calls are received after April 21. 

  1. Items MUST be at curbside by 7:00 AM on day of scheduled pick-up. City crews will not 

haul items from garages, sheds or storage areas. 

  1. Items eligible for pick-up: 

Pick-ups will be on the following days: 

Ward 1 Monday, April 24 

Ward 2 Tuesday, April 25 

Ward 3 Wednesday, April 26 

Ward 4 Thursday, April 27 

City Transfer Station 

The Transfer Station, located at 1305 N. Washington, will be open Monday, April 24 – Friday April 28, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 29, 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 

(During Transfer Station Clean up Week the Transfer Station will be open from 12:00-1:00

Disposal of the following items is free of charge, to City residents, all six (6) days: boards, appliances, furniture, bulk items, refrigerators (compressors MUST be removed), and air conditioners (MUST have certification that Freon has been removed)

City residents will be required to pay the regular fees for domestic trash and carpet. 

The following items will NOT be accepted: tires, batteries, commercial waste, shingles, liquids, chemicals, hazard materials, concrete, rock, soil, and waste materials from demolition projects. 

All regular fees will apply for non-City residents. 

Compost and Brush Site 

The compost and brush site, located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on S. Vansant, will be open Monday, April 24 – Friday April 28, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 29, 7:00a.m. 2:00 p.m. The following items will be accepted free of charge, usual residential lawn waste, leaves, brush (not over 3″ in diameter), and lawn clippings. All plastic bags must be removed.
