Students in the Future Teachers of America (FTA) chapter visited UCM in Warrensburg for the Teach it Forward event. They were given the opportunity to visit the campus, to hear from current and former educators regarding a career in education and attended breakout sessions to help them to determine their own career paths for becoming teachers!
CHS attended their first Envirothon training yesterday at SFCC! Science teachers, Mr. Brian Tennal and Ms. Brenna Johnson coached students, Monte Bullock, Addison Jones, Fenix Wells, Dylan Bell-Murphy and Olivia Goth. Each picture is a different station in which students cycled through to be able to identify the soil horizons based on texture, color and structure by hands on soil pits alongside soil scientists from all over the state. Students will compete in the Envirothon in April!

Theater is preparing for their spring production of Neil Simon’s Rumors on April 14th (7 pm) and April 15th at 2 pm/7 pm.
The CHS Scholar Bowl competed in districts on Friday in Higginsville. Varsity placed 8th out of the 32 teams and JV ranked 5th out of 32 teams. Congrats to our very first CHS Scholar Bowl team on a job well done this season!
Our Cardinal Pride Pep Band is playing at the state basketball tournament on March 16th.
